i never seen any topics on this. It doesn't say where it's made on the strance box as well. Is this another coilover made in a chinese factory?

that's sort of my point
good products are made all over...and so are crappy products
research for yourself, talk to people who know what they are talking about, and you'll find something worth buying

Its a common misconception and I agree that some products are made in factories with dirt floors............but then again china does also have some of the worlds nicest factory buildings and machining equipment building some quality parts.......
Im speaking aerospace products, but whos to say without really knowing........so far, everyone is guessing....

Who cares where they are made. Very high quality machining comes out of China and Taiwan all it takes is a CNC machine.
It comes down to how much the manufacturer wants to invest in their product. Incredible amounts of real world track testing and telemetry go into building a proper damper which is very expensive and time consuming. Do they wantt obuild a twin tube or mono tube, external or internal resevoir. Is the valving appropriate for the spring rate. Keep in mind the same damper valving and spring on one track will be horrible for another. How accurate are the valving adjusters. Does the valving match from one shock to the next. If the manufacturer doesn't test each spring and doesn;t dyno each damper then the have no idea what they are putting into the box.
So where it's made is of little importance. And if your just looking to drive on the street, autocross and run HPDE just about anything from any of the manufacturers will work. There is so much compliance in the OEM suspension bushings your not going to feel what's going on with the valving.
ZEAL is the only manufactureer who makes their dampers in Japan as far as I know and that's part of the reason they are so expensive. Labor is expensive in Japan. They control all phases of the manufacturing and test each damper before they ship, and they custom valve and springs to the customers specs If you just want to lower your car find the cheapest coilover and make the purchase. They are all the same.

I would go ahead and assume no matter where these things are made, the final quality depends on what you pay for them. Good **** costs good money.
