Default please help me with suspension upgrade. need some advice .thanks!

i am thinking about upgrading the stock suspension of my 08 grand touring.

i can spend about 2000 dollars on suspension.

my main goal is to improve my Z's handling a bit for some spirit daily driving mainly on the street...i rarely take the car to the track.

also I wanna lower the car a bit more for better appearance.

i have three options in mind.

(1) nismo S tune suspension

(2) tein Basic

(3) Tein Flex.

reason why i am thinking of nismo s tune is because it's a peace of mind. but i don't know about how much can be improved in terms of handling and performance.

tein basic and flex are coilover which allows for height adjustment but i heard about them being noisy...with that rattle sound ....

should i just pick Nismo s tuned and call it a day? or pick the more complicated coilover system?

can you guys give me some advice on which one should i pick and why

thanks in advance.

Hey Bro,

I picked up the Nismo S-tuned shocks and springs and will be installing them in the next few weeks. I didn't want an aggressive drop but I wanted the benefits of the improved steering response and reduce body lean. I'm also going to pick up a set of Hotchkis sway bars to complete my suspension set-up.

good luck

KW Variant 2 can be had for around 1600 or so. Amazing coilovers.

Cream of the crop = KW Variant 3's, had for almost exactly at $2000 MAX, usually cheaper.

I would go with one these over any other, imho, or a Bilstein setup.

no to tein coilovers... imo the only 2 coilovers i would suggest to you due to overall street driving would be bilstein pss or kw1/eibach pro. these offer a good range of height adjustment, and a pretty comfortable ride. no overly stiff springs. no need to figure out adjustments. and saves you a few hundred dollars to be spent else where...like rear toe/camber kit for starters.

The Bilstein PSS is a great setup. Have them matched to the spring rate (linear) of your choice and enjoy Reviews and service options are very impressive for coil-overs and this price range, please look them up.

They are a bit overpriced, but I have had no problems with the S-tune setup with nismo sways. Probably find some on here as people tend to want to go lower, but i like the way mine has settled. Low enough, not dropped to the floor so i usually don't have to angle my way down curbs or speed bumps. Just something to think about if you're a daily driver.

thanks for the info..i am seriously interested in Nismo s tuned..even tho it's not height adjustable..

btw, how's the handling on nismo s tuned compared to stock suspension? do you notice a big difference?
