Default Hawk HPS pads

i did alot of research on Hawk HPS pads but i ended up with different comments..
Some people and the description on HPS pads say that the longevity of HPS pads are increased from the OEM ones. But some other people say that the longevity is crap.....................I don't know if they track their cars or not.
Is the longevity of these pads good for street use?
If the pads don't come with the backing plate then will any backing plates from any cars fit onto HPS pads?

thx guys

I autocross my Z and run HPS pads. (not the HPS+ pads)

The only draw-backs compared to stock are higher cost and slightly less bite.

Otherwise they last a little longer, take a little more heat, dust a lot less, and are very gentle on the rotors.

ive had mine on my 06 for about 2,000 miles now and absolutely love them. I added SS lines, motul brake fluid and HPS's on all 4 corners at the same time so i cant credit the significantly better braking to JUST the Hawks, but the combo of the 3 MAJORLY improved my braking. will be sticking with hps's for sure.
