Default installing new rotors on Brembo brakes

Hi I have searched and I am either having a retarded moment or its just not there. I am looking for the torque specs on the two bolts on the front and rear calipers that attach them to the car. I believe the front is 113-114 ft-lbs and the rear is 53-71 ft-lbs. Can someone who has done this before please chime in? Also my manual keeps saying to use PBC grease on the backside of the new brake pads before installation. What is this and what brand is most used?

Please no smart asses! This section is for this exact question so if you want to say something ignorant or off topic keep it to yourself!!!

Thanks in advance for everyones help.

I install the pads without grease, they may squeek a little but i don't care, and the bolts and well tight. I don't bother with a torque wrench on them, no need IMO

Also many aftermarket pads have a soft backing plate and the grease is not needed. FYI

Thats what i use when needed, but it makes a mess with opposed piston calipers. I prefure not to use it, unless they squeek badly.

I was talking to Frank Hill (Hills Garage) and he said to use a grease on the pins so the pads will slide. I just didnt want to use something that will get on the pads! Thanks for all the info guys. Robert

I just tossed some pads in my Z the other day, and i've done other brembo's before on STi's and Evo's. Only thing I grease are the contact points on the retainer clip and pins. You will see some grease on them from the factory. Clean them very well, put a light layer of grease on anywhere the metal touches. I like the white lithium grease, it stays put with the temperature.

You shouldn't need anything on the back of the pads, there should be some sort of shims to keep them quiet.

Thanks Joe, I have some white lithium grease at work. Thanks for all the info guys. Its much appreciated. Since I only have about 1500 miles on new Nismo pads I might just reuse them if they look even and no wear marks are present on them. If I do find either of the formentioned I do have a spare set of Nismo pads in storage. Thanks, Robert
