Default Single to Dual piston swap Question

did a search couldn't find much though...

Anyone know if you can use the same hardware when doing the single 03-05 to dual piston 06 G/Z brake swap? Meaning can i use the same nuts and bolts from my 03 brakes to mount up the 06's? They would be G35 dual pistons but i assume the 06 Z's were the same.

Also, anybody know if there is a write-up or anyone have first hand experience doing it? run into any issues besides having to cut the dust shields? Thanks everybody.

are you referring to swapping in brembos? if so there are plenty of DIY threads on this if you search, and it's basically a direct caliper swap. aside from the cutting the dust shield as you mentioned, you also need the rotors from the brembo car, and the rear caliper mounting bolts from the brembo car.

not swapping brembos...just the standard dual piston's that came on the 06 and up Z's/G's. It's an upgrade to the 03-05 single pistons calipers.

I found the brembo swap tutorial...but im pretty sure there's alot of people that have done the 06 swap, just havent found many threads on it.

same bolts, same everything is used. The only parts replaced are the calipers , caliper brackets , pads and rotors. You don't even have to change brake lines.

you'll have a rude surprise waiting for you if you try putting oem 06+'s on your 30-05.

My 03 touring and Nforce1's 04 base had no problem with 06 brakes on them. The hardest part is trying to get all the air out when you finish.

i'm doing the same swap right now. I have everything but the rotors. My brother works at napa so he is going to get me some napa ultra premium rotors on the cheap. The problem, when he looks up a 2007 Z (donor car) no matter what trim, it comes up with:

Rotor - Front - Ultra Premium
Product Line: NAPA ULTRA PREMIUM BRAKE PARTS
Comments: Single Piston Caliper
Per Car Qty.: 2
Part UP 880307
Price
91.99
Each

OR

Rotor - Front - Ultra Premium
Product Line: NAPA ULTRA PREMIUM BRAKE PARTS
Comments: w/ 4 Piston Calipers
Per Car Qty.: 2
Part UP 880250
Price
97.99
Each

OR

Rotor - Front
Product Line: Altrom
Comments: w/o Brembo Brakes
Per Car Qty.: 2
Part ATM 0940798
Price
Unit
154.00
Each

Which is the correct one to buy? I'm thinking the single piston because they might not have edited their system after the change from 1 to 2 piston. He said if I can find the exact break rotor size he can look it up that way also...
