Rotors and Pads

I'm also about to upgrade my drift Z's rotors and pads (and SS lines/motul fluid). I heard that slotted/drilled rotors are just as good as plain. Is that true?
My Z is boost'd with brembo calipers. I 80% track it and 20% daily it.
