Default Need Help getting new brakes. I need your input.

I am sure this was discussed before but I was wondering what brakes would you guys recommend.

I have 10k on my car and its starting to make brake noise so I am planning on getting new brakes.

I heard so many different opinions, I don't know what to get. One thing I can not stand is brake noise. Its very annoying.

What would you recommend.

NISMO
STOP TECH
GREEN STUFF
HAWK HPS
BREMBO
METAL MATRIX

I really need your help with so many different options.

If you have an aftermarket brakes, please write your opinions or experiance

I personally like the Rotora setup. But I need a little clarification from ya. Are you looking for a Big Brake upgrade OR are you just looking for new rotors and pads?

yeah, if you are looking for just pads. You have listed a lot of good choices. Also don't forget Project Mu and Endless. The two of Japan's biggest brake companies.

Also Wilwood guys are coming out with 6 pistons Front and 4 pistons rear set up for the Z.

Anyone else have an opinion on this? I'm tired of my brakes squealing all the time and having to clean my front wheels twice a week!

other good, mostly dustless and noise free

Carbotech Bobcat
Mintex Red Box

If you really want to stop the squeeling, you need to out that goo on the back of the pads before you install them. Not sure what it's called but any auto parts store will sell it. The only downside is that goo is impossible to get off the calipers and it makes the pads next to impossible to remove when you have to change them out later.

Based on what you've said, it doesn't sound like you need a big brake upgrade kit...just some new pads and a good bed-in procedure. One of the reasons brakes squeal is because they were never properly bedded. Please check out our article on upgrade selections http://www.stoptech.com/whitepapers/...ons_122701.htm

As for bedding, do a search...there are tons of posts on the topic.
Don't let anyone talk you into a big brake kit you don't need either!
