Default Brembros vs. Regular Brakes

Is there a comparison for stop distance listed somewhere that I can compare the Brembros to the Regular brakes.

For all of you with a Track model, do you think you could not live with out them?

Trying to decide between an enthusiast or a touring.

Thanks for the input.

Only the track has brembos. Enthusiast, Perf and Touring have the same brakes.

Wow, after that research, it's sensible and more economical to get the stock Z brakes.

Thanks for the input!

NOT if you plan to track your car. My StopTech kit arrived today and I couldn't be happier knowing that they will soon be replacing the stock fronts. Myself and a couple of other members have seriously burned up the stock brakes on the track because those little rotors and single piston calipers just can't handle the extreme heat.

Just an FYI...

yeah definitly, big rotors and better brakes are good for the track, but not many will ever hit that point. hell there are quite a few tracks that wont even push the car to that point. but for those that do go there, I personally would rather get a real set, brembo sounds good, but those arent made by brembo from what I heard, just some other company with the brembo design and name.

hence why you could buy brembo brakes for the 350Z, but they would be no where near the track model brakes.

Well, they're the same Brembos in the R33/34 and BMW 850.

Michael.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost? Did you do all 4?

Thank you.

The Brembo products on the Z are in fact made by Brembo.

Certainly with track work there is no substitute to the bigger brakes! In day to day driving you wont tell the difference but I had the Z brakes on a previous car weighing the same and I was not all that impressed.

I did change pads and found it hard to fade on the street.
