Default Do I need Sway Bar Endlinks for Sway Bar Kit?

Hi everyone...im planning on buying the Eibach Sway Bar Kit soon and was wondering if I also need to purchase the Z1 Performance Sway Bar Endlinks as well. Has anyone installed sway bars without any endlinks and have no problems??? Please leave some advice....thanks

i think the Eibach kits assume you will re-use the stock end-links.

you don't 'need' to purchase adjustable endlinks unless you wish to do further suspension adjustments (i.e. corner balancing when adjusting coilovers)

Like Ches said, you dont "NEED" a/m endlinks....but i would get them.

Some guys have had problems with the stock nuts backing off the endlinks and them not staying tight. (Me, for one) If you hear a popping sound after you drive with bars, first thing i would check is the endlinks. They may appear to be tight, but they may not be, or might be going out.

Also, the stock elinks work best when as perpendicular to the ground as possible. Moving your bars to full stiff or soft might put too much strain on the links and cause them to give out. If your going to stay on stock links, i would recommend only setting them at the 2nd or 3rd hole on the swaybar. Stay away from the 4th or 1st holes.

YES..

I just got some swaybars recently and attempted to use them with the stock endlinks.. clunk clunk clunk.

Get the powergrids and have them installed by someone who knows what they are doing.

After the install it literally and handling wise pulled everything together and and made it all worth it.

Eventually you will need them. OEM endlinks work with sway bars but not for very long.
It's a matter of time before they go. Some last years. Mine lasted a week.
+1 on Powergrids

Are the Powergrids better than the SPLs?

You guys are not giving a proper explanation of why someone would need upgraded end links. The problem we face with our stock end links, whether stock sway bars or upgraded sway bars, is when lower our vehicles.

Lowering our cars causes our sway bars/end links to be pre-loaded, which results in the problems most of us have faced (including losing multiple sway bar bolts - very common with our cars). Generally, even if you have stock sway bars, you will need upgraded end links when you lower your vehicle so that you can offset for the pre-loading.

I've had stock endlinks for 3 years on hotchkis bars, don't bother spending the extra money for now. You may never need to.

Yes my car is lowered, and drivin on the track. 70k miles on the endlinks with the aftermarket sways so far.

the economical solution would be get the sway bars, use with stock endlinks. see how OP likes them.

then purchase adjustable ones when either:

1. oem breaks
2. oem starts to clunk and have noise
3. OP wants to have further adjustability.

i've have the oem endlinks since 03 with my cusco sway bars, never had an issue.. i purchased adjustable endlinks from Z1auto.com (adam and z1 performance) but have not installed them yet-
