Default Rear end hop on bumps or transitions?

I have noticed my 2007 350z roadster has a hop when I hit transitions on mountain roads that none of my other cars have. Front end tends to allow rear to jump a bit.

Is this a common thing with these cars? Is there a fix? I want to keep fairly stock suspension but would more performance oriented shock help?

Check your tire pressures.

Front end tends to allow rear to jump a bit.
Huh?

I think he's talking about that engine thingy up there that makes too much power when you step on the gas pedal too hard.

more than likely your rear differential bushing is shot.

Huh? Sure, the differential is mounted with bushings, but power is transferred through the half-shafts to the axles. Tire contact is controlled by the suspension linkage, shocks, and springs.

I seriously doubt that play in the mounting of the differential would cause enough variation in torque transfer to cause wheel hop. Maybe if the bushings were completely gone, but that's not likely on a 2007 model. Even in that case it would only show up in hard acceleration, not going around a corner on a mountain road.

trust me it does. i had it and id wheel hop off the line like no other. replaced the diff bushing with spl solid bushings and wheel hop is 99% gone.

Steady state constent radius cornering while carrying a G load, with bump mid conrner, correct? Front deals with bump as you expect, but rear does not with a slight "hop" or side step, but maintain's overall composure, correct?

Just want to make sure we're on the same page.

What suspension mod's if any do you have and when is the last time the car has been aligned? Tires and pressures your running?

I don't see where your asking about wheel hop as in a heavy throttle application in a straight line.
