tell me about it! Back in 05 I was dealing with replacing those arms while going to every machine shop out there trying to get one to make me a set for a decent price...........never could......a one-off set was soo dammn pricey so i gave up...

SPL finally mass produces them in 2010.....2 years out of 350z production........better late than never for sure!

trust me man! upgrade to them...I have installed them on 3 different cars already and it corrects the horrble torn bushing caster issues.........

left to right caster will be under .5 delta for sure...

OP...

To answer your question...

- Front inner translink bushing should be SPL,
- compression rod should be SPL,
-but to save you some money you can do the translink shock mount bushing as whiteline as thats not critical.

*Reason being - is a whiteline paired with a spl compression would be a friction point on the Lower arms versus the compression rod....

HOWEVER,
for daily driving though, whiteline at both spots on the translink is more than fine...

trust me, get the compression rod spl bushing for sure...

just spoke with spl and he said that if im gonna use the spl compresion rod bushing.. i should go with the spl bushings for the lower control arm as well.

he said they make an "A" arm shape.. and that if one is solid and one is softer then the tires might wear a little uneven???

so i guess the right thing to do from all your guys advice is..

SPL Lower control arm bushings and SPL compresion rod bushing!

damnnnnnnnnnn so much money lol

well i guess if i get the compression rod bushing from spl.. the lower control arm bushings should be spl aswell! thanks again!

i am asuming you have spl bushings for lower control arm and compression. how is the noise? do you have to lube them from time to time?

also one more question..

you guys think it would be okay to use the SPL lower control arm bushings with the oem compression rod bushing for awhile?

or you think that might eat up my new tires?

thanks

ya thats fine.....it will be fine........if your car is lowered, your compression arm is torn.......with out a doubt! just replace it with the spl comp bushing when you can.

thats normal, solid diff bushings you will fee more since there is no more rubber to muffle down driveline noises..

This is what im saying!

Review Translink Item 13 and Compression rod Item 11:

- Front inner translink bushing should be SPL,
- compression rod should be SPL,
-but to save you some money you can do the translink shock mount bushing as whiteline as thats not critical. Whiteline P/N W52992

that saves you a lil bit of cash....

Is uneven tire wear from mixing and matching SPL compression rod bushings with Whiteline translink inner and outer bushings confirmed?

I am thinking about this set up b/c of budget.

Car is street driven with few track days.

Sounds like Jason is suggesting to go SPL for the translink inner bushing. Im starting to think the extra 150 for the shock mount bushings isn't that bad for a full proof set up.

thoughts?

How loud are the whiteline bushings in comparison to the stock bushings.

Sorry for bringing this old thread back, but I was searching about Whiteline bushings and I'm also curious about the above question. Is anyone able to shed some light?

Furthermore, if I am planning to replace my coilovers and bushings, which one would make more sense to do first?

Thanks a bunch in advance.

Just a hair, I did the full set on my moms G sedan, it is noticeable but nothing major. The stock exhaust on the Z will probably drowned it out vs a G sedan stock exhaust.
