Default Z Bottom Out Solution?

my car is slammed and keeps bottoming out, as in the A Arm is hitting the inside of the shock tower, its getting to the point where im about to cut a hole out of the shock tower and modify it to give it room (as seen on some Civics), if theres another solution, please let me know because i want to go another half inch lower, tried searching but havent came across a solution yet. thanks guys

Raise your car, you need suspension travel for proper handling

Make sure your shocks arn't blown. And set your dampning a little harder. Possibly even some stiffer springs.

^+1 My buddy with a VIP IS had to get the stiffest shock/spring coilover available to get his lips from hitting the fender.

How exactly did you slam your car? what coilovers? what camber kit? what components all around? with that info, we can better help the issue.

also, what are you measurements front and rear as shown here?

^ no, lots of them have this issue......most, after measuring realize that their cars dont hole a .966 ratio like mentioned in the post i linked you front/rear ratio???

most are nose dived...

People tent to install coil overs, but never tune/set them up correctly....not that there is a correct way to "slam" a car .......but there are things you can do to help avoid issues like this....ie, ensure your car's height is ratio'd correctly front vs rear; stiffer shocks, stiffer springs, proper set up in general...

I've got the same problem... I'm either going to have to preload the springs a bit, or go to a stiffer spring.... Or go to a lower profile tire in the front.. I've currently got a 245/35/18.

Seems like you are wanting someone to take the bait....so tempting....

IMO raise the car, but it's your ride. Also I don't think I would do anything I see done on a civic to my car... Just sayin, good luck...

DO NOT cut hole in the shock tower. Before you do that, shorten the front dampers 1" and add 1" of front spring preload. This will not increase spring rate, but it will increase the amount of force needed to compress the suspension to that camber arm to fender contact point.

Also, can you post pictures of your front bumpstops on the dampers?

If your car is a reflection of you, driving around in a slammed car makes you look stupid.
