Talking Has any one changed the brakes yet?

What's up all I'm new to this forum and it's awesome. Just wanted to know if anyone has changed their brakes. I have 10,500 miles and my front brakes started squeaking bad, I mean the Z brake squeak already anyways, I guess like to go real fast and stop real fast too. BTW I got the non -brembo. I'am I going to have to change the brakes every 10K. My service adviser was able to hook me up and warranty them since under 12k.

I know this has been an issue for the G35, but this is the first I have heard about it on a Z. I have 23,000 miles and still have my original brakes. I did change them for a road course event but I put the originals back on after event. They are about 80% worn though.

Your 5th line reads, "I'am going to have to change my brakes every 10K line."

Did you mean AM I going to have to change my brakes every 10K miles? Not sure if that was a ? or not.

It all depends on hard you use the brakes. How hard are you on them. Do you race a lot? Do you go to the track, ect?

Try the infamous search, it does wonders. I know you are new here, so use the search button first, it really does wonders.

As far as brakes go, get Hawk or Greenstuff brakes. Tirerrack.com sells them for $70.

Yes! Changed to Hawk HPS. www.raceshopper.com has them for $57 + $9 S/H = $65

I and want to add that of all the cars I've owned over the past 25 years, the front brakes on the Z are by far the easiest I've ever done: 17 minutes start to finish, both sides.

Now if I could just get these HP+ pads to stop squeaking!! I bedded them well, and they are getting quieter, but after a week, I'm still hearing a bit of a chirp at stops.

I bedded my hawks, squeaks at 5 mph and lower once they get heated up. Oh well, I'll live with the squeaks vs the dust anyday!

Mine did that too until I had to hit the brakes real hard one day and they haven't squeaked since.

Never had noise from my stock brakes, and my new ceramics are silent. Going through brakes every 10K? Geez. Live in a canyon? I go about 40K front/60K rear.
