Default Question on if im doing something right.

Ok, so apparently the shop i took my Z to for the coil over install/.5 drop doesnt know how to do math.

When i did the measurements my front was basically the same height as my back. In the words of Jason, " you got a level car".

When i do the check of gap between the tire and the fender i can now put a finger in the back when before i couldnt barely put a finger in there.

If i measured correctly using the picture on jasons 101 on suspension you measure from the fender to the ground. In the front i was getting the 26.40 i need. In the back when i re-adjusted, it was at 26.80ish, if i did my math right i need 27.30 to keep the .967 ratio. So Front 26.40, Rear 27.30. To get theses number i just minus .5 from the stock numbers. Also, it states on the picture on height that i need to have the spare in the trunk... I have taken it out and ive had subs under the strut bar. The question is will i be able get the correct numbers i need and if im doing the correct way of adjusting it to correct ratio

Also, for more info after the install i went and got a aliegnment(ntb) and the mech. said that he couldnt get the correct camber. First thought to my mind is" great i have below inch drop in the rear". He said that oem camber on the Z is -1.5 and that im at -3. Also, i have the tract edition v2 rims with a 275/xx/19 on the rear, hope that doesnt effect the measurements. Tell me if you guys need any more details to help me with my fix. Also, i dont have a sheet saying the camber degree/toe/w.e so please dont ask.

Either way if anyone could help, it would be great because tom. it the first thing im going to do(try to get that 27.30" height). Sense it late i feel like im forgetting to give you guys one more detail but cant remember sorry.

Well anyways thank you for the help :0)

Raise the rear , it will help with camber. What rear tires do you have? 275??19 cause yes that matters. Last OEM alignment specs are -1.1 to -2.1

I assume that the springs are adjustable. Take it back and see if they can get another inch or whatever you need.

Well thats what im doing. Also, the shop i went to doesnt know how to do math...... I also know raising the rear will help get camber back in to spec that why im doing it also because im already getting camber wear. Im just double checking to make sure all my measurements are right and im doing this correctly. It not like exhaust were A and B come together and that it.

Coilovers are hard to set up, when you adjust one corner it effects another. Also new springs will settle slightly, i also do all my adjustments with a full tank of gas.

you still havnt mentioned the aspect ratio on your rear tires. That can and will throw all your numbers off.
