Brake Pads
where you'll find thousands of threads on brake pads. Try searching.
BTW, define "top rated". Do you want low dust, low noise, fade resistance, initial bite, stopping power, mild on rotors???
You're joking, right? The #1 complaint from new owners is the amount of dust on the wheels from OEM pads.
I have about 33000KM (note, KM, not miles) on my Z, and was told by the dealership that I have about 20% left on my front pads.
But honestly, I don't brake hard, and I feather / tap my brakes 99% of the time. Makes me wonder if the dealrship is trying to fool me into buying new parts.
I am running 4 piston stock Brembo pads right now, but considering the dealership quoted me $350 CAD for a pair, I am considering STOPTECH pads instead.
My priority when it comes to brake pads would be 1) initial bite and 2) stopping power.
Dave, any recommendations?
