Default Worn sway bar endlinks?

I am doing a full springs/shocks install soon. I am ordering suspension mounts and accessories now.

Do you think I should order new front sway bar endlinks soon? Do ours wear out easily? I have about 65000 miles on my car. My Maxima has had worn endlinks that caused some suspension noise at around 100,000 miles. I might as well get new bar endlinks while I do suspension.

If you have stock bars, and they are not loose or making any sort or clunk, leave them alone.

it will vary car to car, driver to driver, and by road conditions

by ~40k miles, I had already been through 2 full set of endlinks front and rear (noise up front, bent a rear). First time was around 20k miles and still had stock sways. Second time was with aftermarket sways (Cusco). I've yet to have a single issue since then, and now run our Powergrid adjustables. Others can and will get longer life, as mentioned above. Lots of variables

I completely agree. My G35 has had some loud phantom thumping noises that I cannot get rid of. I would hear thumping and suspension noises in the front end when I go on some uneven (not necessairly rough) roads. When one of the front wheels hits the driveway, I would hear a loud thumping sound, like my shock upper mounts was loose. It was not a clunk, but a thump.

All my ball joints are in good shape. Compression and lower inner arm bushings have been replaced with bearing type bushings. The same noise still persist. All other compnents including shocks, shock insulators have been replaced. The only thing left was endlinks.

Today I finally swapped out the 65000 miles endlinks for some new SPL ones. The noise is GONE! The front end feels a lot tighter in straight line and in any turn at any speed. The car also rebounds much quicker on potholes, without the high frequency rebound oscillations, making rough roads feel more tolerable.

Although there was no free play in the old stock endlinks, they were extremely loose in all directions. This is probably why they were only causing thumping noises. If they were more worn, they'd be causing actual clunking noises.

I am starting to think that endlinks is a MUST replace item on any car with higher mileage cars. In my case I went a little overboard with SPL endlinks. Anybody could get similar restoration in performance from cheaper links from places like Rockauto.

I might look into Powergrids for my rear, after such amazing experience with new endlinks in the front.

Sorry for the thread revival, #thuglife.

I have sqeaking when going up ramps or driveways, where the road is uneven, would worn endlinks be the cause? How do I know they're done with?

They should feel loose enough to move freely, but not so loose that there is any free-play in the joints. They should also feel smooth and lubricated, rather than dry and gritty.
