Default Lowering newb question

ok so i dont track my car and i plan on getting a front lip, so i decided on the eibach pro kit cause its only 1" drop. is there anything else i need to get. somebody told me its a must to replace the struts. idk where to find different struts for this, do i really need to? anything besides that?

Your stock struts will be good for a while until they wear out. I had my Z on lowering springs with stock struts for about 30k miles and never had a problem. You can get new ones eventually, but your stock ones should be fine for a while. One other thing you might want to consider is a camber kit since lowering the Z will give your wheels more camber and kill your tires quickly. After installing my Eibach Sportline springs, my camber was WAY off so I had to get a rear camber kit to correct that.

Exactly what I thought. But where do I get the new struts at? I can't find anyplace that sells them? Dino just use more stock ones? And how will I know when they DO need replaced?

The pro kit is 4 springs. Rear is easy to replace. Front you must take apart the coil over, and replace the springs.

Check around the vendors on this forum.

From what i read; Tokico HP blues, KYB GR-2 and Bilstein B8 are all great non-adjustable replacement sport shocks that are fairly priced.

Tanabe is a good choice too. Those had a smooth ride. You can get shocks/struts at lot of online stores but just wait till they wear out.

HP?, Better to upgrade than to replace. HPs are not the best "Upgrade"

Care to share your bad experiences with em? As i said i was only giving advise to OP based on what i've read around here and so far I havn't seen that many complaints about those. Can you even consider non-adjustable replacement shocks as an upgrade?

If your slamming it, get a set of toe arms and 2 sets of lockouts from here http://www.350zhatchshocksandmore.com/ combines with the front camber arms and your choice of rear camber arms. The front and rear camber arms can also be gotten here http://www.nissanraceshop.com/

lockout bolts have nothing to do with the front, they are for the rear..and yes, ideally you want them on both the camber and toe arms in the back

you are going to need new camber arms, new toe arms and front adjustable a arms who's bias is towards positive camber (ie SPL's) if you are looking to truly 'slam' the car and maintain any semblance of a normal alignment. SPL makes all of these parts by the way, and the quality and adjustability is fantastic on them. If you want a discounted package deal with all the components you will need, let myself or Kwame know, we can easily put it together for you

at 60k miles, you may want to consider new struts

a great out of the box setup would be the Tokico D Spec + Eibach rear camber and toe kit.

REAR:
1. A After market adjustable rear camber arm.
2. Rear Toe bolt

Front:
optional?
