New suspension but maintain stock ride height
So I can't lower my Z or it will scrape on my driveway. Sucks because it appears that everything aftermarket/upgraded = 1/2 inch drop or more. I can find shocks to maintain factory ride height but having trouble finding upgraded springs that will maintain stock ride height as well.
I don't mind looking and searching, I just need some guidance...
Will the Tokico D-spec shocks adjust to factory ride height?
I'm looking at the Tokico DSK Kit (shocks & springs). What's the word with this setup? I've heard a few good comments locally on Tokico. But I still read a 1" F&R drop.
OR-- Stock Option
KYB or Monroe shocks wrapped with Progress springs.
I've been suggested to use Progress springs, but everywhere I look they all say "lowering."
I know that with 80k on suspension, replacing current suspension with new OEM replacements with result in a difference, but I want a slightly stiffer ride.
Also, I want to upgrade the sway bar to Hotchkis. If I do this, I've heard you can sometimes get a clunking noise due to failure of end links. Do i need to go ahead and replace those as well?
In addition, after all the above is done I will be getting new tires and getting an alignment. I'm currently experiencing FEATHERing, so before I go to my shop should I buy a camber kit for my Z or just let them do their thing?
Thanks!

Every lowering spring on the market is going to lower your car to some degree. The only way you are going to be able to achieve stock ride height is via some brands (not all) of adjustable coilovers. For that, you'll have to first establish your budget, etc

My suggestion, buy d spec shocks. Then if your car is an 03 or 04 buy a set of stock SPRINGS off an 04.5 or newer. Replace your sways, and get new endlinks. OEM endlinks work fine if you don't use the stiffest settings of the sways.

Just ordered KYB GR2 F & R shocks. Putting on Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires when I get off of here. 235/40 (since 225/45 are no ETA) and 255/40 on stock 03 rims.
Going to go with Hotchkis 19413 springs.
Still not sure... should I purchase camber kit and take to my shop or use their kits?

Thanks for purchasing our TVS kit. I hope your driveway plays nice with your car. What part of the camber adjustment are you unsure of? The alignment specs? Is everything else on your car stock?

you will need to wait and see how the car specs out on the alignment rack after your springs and tires go on...and adjust (if possible) or buy (if necessary) accordingly. There is no way to know before hand

Sorry for hijacking, but I'm in the same boat as the OP. My driveway requires me to maintain as close to the stock ride height as possible. Have an 05 Z.
I've been considering coilovers that give me the choice of having it at stock height. Would it be a better bang for buck to just gets Tokico D-specs and call it a day? I guess my budget would be around 1-1.5k
I try to track my car at least 5-6 times every year. I don't mind a bit of a stiff ride, but I do live in LA and we have some bad roads. Since it is my DD, I wouldn't want it to be too aggressive. Already have Hotchkis sways (2nd from stiffest up front/Medium in the rear)
Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks guys
