You dont have to get a 17mm bolt..that is only the size of the head.
Get the proper diameter and length/hardness and a new nut and you should be good to go.
Try mcmaster.com they may be able to get it to you quickly.

^^Do you know where I can find the right diameter/length/thread pitch for the bolt? I tried callling nissan/courtesy, they are all closed. Actually, just found this, can you see if you can confirm this is the right bolt?: http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-pa...5_800_804.html

I read some threads and they recommended grade 8 for the bolt, and type c for the nut. Just want to confirm, thanks.

It helps if you look for the proper size bolt, also call around for a shop that specializes in bolts. 12x1.25 is stock , don't know the lenght but you have the strut body to measure. 12x1.5 will also work just fine since you have to get the matching nut for whatever bolt you buy.

^^Would knowing just 12x1.25 or 12x1.5 be enough to find a bolt at either mcfaddendale or mcmaster? Or would I also need to know the thread pitch? Because I think some places I called had those specs, but I assumed the head needed to be 17mm, which none of them carry. I don't think the length would matter too much, as long as its long enough. I kinda know how long it, based on eyeing it lol

Doesn't matter at all for this application, i think the ones on my coilover is 16mm. Odd size head, but i needed a longer bolt for my setup.
Feeling generious, stock lenght is 78mm. You will need 80 to 85mm since you will need a add a washer under the bolt head.

got the bolts and nuts from mcfaddendale thanks for terrasmak. Thanks a lot bro. Installed them and now they ride just fine. Im really happy haha. Btw, for the coils I got, I need to take off the wheel everytime I want access to the top hat, which would allow me to lower/raise the height. Would I need to take off the bolts holding the spring bucket and spring just to get access to the top hat? Or is there a tool that is supposed to come with the coils that lets me adjust the height?
