unbolt your calipers and get them out of the way without putting too much strain on the brake lines. then pull or use a mallet to gently knock them loose to pull off.

PB Blaster or WD-40 around the junction of the rotor and hub will help loosen it.

Just need to give the rotor a few wacks - I use a rubber mallet and tap around the circumference from the back side.

Don't forget to let your e-brake handle down. The rear rotors will not come off if the e-brake is engaged unless you have the BFH and superman swinging it. I have made this mistake before in the past and got super pissed and then I realized I left the e-brake on.

Use a rubber mallet!

You're not only going to hurt your back if you use a hammer, but you may also be driving on damaged rotor if you couldn't remove it. Spraying some PB Blaster or WD40 or liquid wrench into the crevice of the stud EASILY loosens it enough to be removed without a hammer!

I really liked using my 5 pound sledge , but have changed over to a 5 pound dead blow on them. Moral of the story, BFH of some kind.
