Cusco A-Arm Ball Joint Issue?

Default Cusco A-Arm Ball Joint Issue?

I just received my Cusco A-arms. I pulled the conical metal piece off of the factory arms to put on the Cusco's and I noticed that the ball joints on the new A-arms have play in them. I can grab the threaded part and move it up and down. By up and down, I mean compressing it in the direction that the suspension will be compressing. It should not do this. That is normally a sign of a bad ball joint. Has anyone else had this issue with the Cusco's? Both of the arms do this by the way.

Also, when I tried to press the new conical piece on, it would go down all the way it needs to, but it would not stay in place. Is there a trick to keeping them on?

I had bad ball joints in my used Cusco A-Arms as well. The great part is they cost $120 per side!

Did they come bad brand new though? I'm working on getting them replaced for free since they are brand new.

It's been a long time since I've installed a set of Cusco A-Arms. I think they are spring loaded? Does it feel like it has a spring inside? Or is it have play without any resistance that is typical of a spring loaded joint?

They did feel like their was resistance in them like they were spring loaded. Is that normal?

I think they are spring loaded. I cannot remember, but if it feels spring loaded then it is likely to be normal

This is only one of the reasons I'm ditching my Cusco arms. SPL or Kinetix is what I'm deciding between.

I have the SPL, but I cannot use them for my race class because they add too many points. The SPL's are 7 and the Cusco's are only 4 due to the fact that the SPL's have spherical joints. Trust me, I would much rather use the SPL's. I have had no issues with them and they are awesome.
