Default Low guys! HELP

I lowered my car about a week ago. After driving it the whole week i noticed i was hitting something on the bottom really bad, im not talking about scraping that doesnt bother me. It was a hard hit.

I didnt have time to jack the car up, but im in the process of changing my oil right now so i took a look at the troubled bolt while im under there.

I was using a hammer to flatten some stuff out a little and the bolt just fell out...

So i took off the plastic shield to see what the bolt even does. I cant figure it out... It doesnt look like it serves a purpose at all. Wierd that its only on one side too.

Please let me know if you have any idea what its for, if its important than i need to get it replaced and raise my car a little i guess.

Here are some pictures.

after it fell out. You can see the hole it left.

and here is the bolt in question.

Thanks

might be something you picked up when scraping the pavement if you cannot find the spot where it came from

That's what I was thinking too. I think it was there when I bought the car so the previous owner mustn't picked it up somewhere. It's a huge bolt and square headed. Doesn't look like anything I've ever seen on a car

I think it was longer. It looks like it was snapped. But as long as its not needed (which im 99% sure it isnt) im all good. Just wanted to double check.
