Default Brake Pads on stock Brakes

What are the available types of brake pads for the stock (non-Brembo) brakes?

I know Porterfield R4S's are available, and I'm leaning that direction. I'm not interested in EBC at all. What else is available and reccommended, and who offers a good price on it?

I'd prefer something with a higher MOT than the stock pads, but it doesn't have to be sky-high. If and when I use more brakes, I'll buy a separate set of race pads.

Look at Hawk HPS from raceshopper.com Cost was:
$56 + $9 S/H. If you plan on instally them yourself, look at ZChickz.com Go to their "garage" section. Some excellent instructions.

I had porterfield r4s on my 240sx and it stopped like a dream, but the fact that I had 300zx calipers on it probably had something to do with it.

Overall I think they are pretty good.

My friend had them on his brembo's (not 350z brembo's.... much bigger) he said when they were warm they were good, but cold they were not great. That's compared to old brembo (maybe ferodo) pads.

I too am interested in brake pads (non-brembro) and was wondering about a good set of pads for street driving, more stop and go than anything else.

Hawks HPS pads, I have them and love em, except for the squeaking 10mph and slower. Other than that, great stopping, and the BIGGIE, hardly no dust!
