Changed brake pads, car got jacked up???
This is going to sound very weird, but here goes:
I took my car to my mechanic to install newly purchased Brembo pads (my old ones are running thin, squeaking).
I also had them install StopTech SS lines at the same time.
I left the car at the garage for about a few hours, and when picking up the car, I noticed the car is now riding a lot higher! I can now fit almost 4 fingers in the rear wheel gap!
The mechanic insisted that what I am describing is impossible, as there's nothing he could've done to raise the car.
Am I just seeing things?

Fortunately, I happen to have a picture of the car BEFORE I took it to the garage, so attached is a BEFORE and AFTER comparison.
The car does not look like it's higher, does it?
I've always thought stock height is just too much, maybe this mentality is causing me to see things???

Wait...your first post says the car is now riding higher than before you took it to the shop, and then the rest of the posts are saying that it's not really any different than before you took it in....or did I mis-read that?
For whatever it's worth, everytime I let my car come back to the ground after jacking it up and unloading the suspension, it sits higher than before I lifted it. Then by the time I drive it out of the neighborhood, it's back to normal. I'm not sure why that happens, but it does, and it always goes back to normal.

^^^ For some reason, my eyes told me that the car was riding higher than before.
But this morning, when I took pics to compare (as you can see), it seems like the car is back to stock height again.
I think you are probably right---------it needs the "settle"???
