Linear springs have the same spring rate throughout the compression, Progressive springs have two rates usually a "softer" rate at first the once that travel has been used up it goes to a much firmer rate.

Spring rate is the amount of force needed to compress the spring a certain distance, I think it's usually referred to as "k".

RSR is the best overall spring we have used (and we have used em all at this point) for the Z..without question

as for linear vs progessive...search is your friend

Linear springs maintain a constant rate through the length of the spring, progessive springs get "progressively" stiffer as the spring is compressed - there are plusses and minusses to both, and neither is better nor worse than another.

I can vouch for the RS*R ti2000s, nice ride, and good performance. Combined with hotchkis sways, I've got a different car.

I'm looking at the same setup - can you describe the difference? I'm using mine for racing and I'd like more negative camber on the front wheels, do you know how much camber the RS*R's gave you?

Would you mind giving the pros and cons?

Linear - Pro's - more predictable handling at the limit
Cons - can be uncomfortable over bumps (very subjective and depends on tires/wheels, tire pressure, alignment)

Progressive - Pro's - tend to be more comfortable over the bumps
Cons - can be twitchy at the limit - not as surefooted

The RSR (non Ti's) are overall, the best spring we have used to date on these cars.

Thanks! What was the drop of your RSR's?

EDIT: and how does it compare to stock?

Two different tuning tuning methods, which at the end of the day,.....sorry only you the end user can decide which is better. I've personally taken the car to both sides of that fence and while the at the limit driving experience was different, I prefer a lower rear spring rate like the Hotchkis.
