So i just purchased my 05 Z on Saturday. Dont judge me but its automatic, i was impatient and it was the color i wanted. Last night i parked my car on a hill cranked the e brake and went on with my business. I came back out to my car i completely forgot i had the e brake on and proceeded to drive home. Was about a 1-3 mile drive and i felt like it wasnt accelerating right so i even gunned it to 60mph. Got out of my car and all i could smell was burning. I thought it was my garage but as i closed the door i realized exactly what i did. Sorry for the sob story but what damage could have been done? I read i probably need to have someone bleed out my brake fluid and replace the pads but is there anyway to tell if any permanent damage has occurred?
You probably didn't damage anything. Your pads do not need to be replaced. There are small drum brakes inside the discs for the parking brake. If your brake still works correctly, you have nothing to worry about.
Permanent damage? I doubt it, check the rotors and pads. Check for fluid leaks. You must not have cranked the E-brake that hard, or it must be weak, I would notice the second i tapped the gas that my e-brake was on.

as stated before, the ebrake system is an independant drum brake system in the back. the ebrake is not connected to the disk brakes in the rear...

+1. The hand brake has nothing to do with the rotors, pads, or hydraulic fluid...
