Default Nismo front/rear damper

About a week ago, while browsing various sites, i cam across a site selling the nismo 350z front and rear dampers. I was thrilled to see a site selling them because i had never seen any other site offering those parts. Now here is the dilemma...in my excitement i forgot to bookmark the website. For a week now i have not been able to find the site. Has anyone else seen these parts on any other website or know where they can be picked up? I believe for both front and rear it was 400. Thanks in advance.

For those who dont understand what I am talking about, These are the front dampers I am speaking of. (developed in conjuction with Yamaha).

I know Z1Auto might have them, but nowhere near 400 for both like you said. http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ng&prodid=2902

The OP is referring to the dampeners, not the body kit.

Keep in mind that you need to get the bracket's that go with the dampners... Adam at Z1auto includes them but if you get it from a dealer you'll have to ask for the brackets as they don't come as a kit.

FYI... installation is a breeze, the Z has the mounting points for them and you just bolt them in.

As I undertand it, these were made to dampen vibrations that come off the stiffer suspension and body (welds) on the NIZMO. I don't think they are of much benefit on *regular* Zs. Someone here can correct me if I'm off base on this.

I have no idea about that. First time I'm hearing about this function. I'd like to find that out myself as well. Can anyone shed some light on there functionality on a regular z?

I think I found the answer:

Even if the car body is reinforced and made more rigid, road surface input through the tires and load shifts during cornering make the entire body act like a spring, causing the occurrence of micro vibrations. The performance damper acts to control the transmission of micro vibrations to the body. During circuit driving, micro vibrations from the car body are transmitted through the steering system to the driver, resulting too often in unnecessary steering corrections. With the performance damper installed, however these micro vibrations are eliminated and excessive steering wheel handling is no longer needed, resulting in more stable handling. Also, in normal driving, the micro vibrations are eliminated, as well providing a much more enjoyable and comfortable ride.

Doubt it as the people that have a set usually bought them used and came as one unit. Did you try Courtesy parts?
