Default Hotchkis Springs Question

I recently bought a set of Hotchkis springs for my 03 Z. I did not want to roll the fenders or have to get a camber kit so I bout these. I am running massive spacers 30mm F 38mm R and it puts my offset at +8 and 0. Will these springs lower my car enough to eliminate the ~1inch gap? Do I need to do the rear springmount mod? Thanks

Put 'em on and see if you like... It's all personal preference. They drop approx. 1/2" in the front and 3/4" in the rear.

Alright man Thanks! I just want to get rid off the gap so I may cut 1/4 off the spring mount to get the flush look I want. I just do not want rubbing problems

In my experience with Hotchkis springs (albeit on a 2006, and they were technically designed for 2003-2005 suspension), the resulting wheel gap front and rear is just about equal, let's say two "fingers" worth between the tire and the fender. This effectively removes some of the forward rake stance that the car has from the factory (i.e. factory setup has less gap in the front, more in the back). So if you additionally cut the rear spring mounts shorter, not only will you end up with more gap in the front than you have in the back, which looks silly, but the front end of the car will also be pointing to far up.

As a reference, here's mine on level ground with the Hotchkis springs installed. You can see that the tire/fender gap is about equal front to back. Making the rears lower while leaving the fronts as they are would look off, in my opinion.

Look in this thread. You will find an example of the Spiringmount mod with most of the aftermarket springs including Hothckis.

Again like the OP said, you already have the springs so put them on and see.
Also the springmount mod can easily be undone by replacing them with uncut
mounts which cost about 60.00 a set brand new. No big deal

Yeah I agree. I love your car, that is what I want as far as ride height. I guess I made the right decision going with Hotchkis. I wanted GF 210 but I did not want to get the camber kit and roll my fenders. Thanks for the feedback man I really appreciate it.

Alright I am going to attempt to put them on by myself on Tuesday. My wheels are already kicked on on spacers so maybe this mild drop will be perfect to eliminate the last ~1inch gap. Thanks for posting!
