Default need help fast! brembo brake piston problem

So I was changing out my rear brembo brake pads and accidentally damage the pistion boot when I was trying to compress, the pistons. Is this bad? Is this why it won't compress?

How are you compressing it? Did you loosen the reservoir cap on the master cylinder?

I've seen torn boots on calipers in other cars that last for years without problems. Your results may vary.

The boot is just a dust boot, the calipers i run don't even have one. Not needed.
