Yeah, that actually does help. I'm thinking red will look too bold on a silver car. Maybe I'll just keep them clean or paint them silver. Thanks for the pic!

Thanks for the input! I totally get it now. I saw fake Brembo covers and knew that was totally lame, but I didn't realized that that went for all caliper covers. Hahaha your scenario cleared things up. Thanks again.
Glad to offer a "chicks with d!cks" scenario to keep you from paying for trash.

If you're willing to spend upwards of 200 for covers...just do this thing called "saving" and have "patience" and get a set of oem brembos in the classifieds. They tend to pop up quite regularly, but go fast so keep an eye out. Usually 1000 bucks will get you a better look and a solid performance upgrade. I know most people's response is "oh I don't wanna spend that much I just want it to look better!" Yeah well, thats a quick way to spend 200 here, 400 there, 150 there, and it'll all eventually add up to something that looks like garbage and drives like stock.

Quality upgrades are worth the wait and the thrill of driving the car with proper upgrades will keep you smiling.

Best of luck and welcome to the forums

if you have to spend $ on "covers" i suggest you go back to riding a bicycle.

I LOL when i see that crap. I'd rather you paint the calipers.

Painted stockers are just hideous. There are some things you just don't mention on this forum. I've learned real quick lol. If the covers suit you then get them. My opinion, with the stock break calipers, they look best non painted and cleaned up real nice. They look even worse if you have 5 star rims. "Where everything is very visible" If you had rims that hid mostly everything, like my old tC for example. They'd look fine.

Not sure if you can see them or not. Anyways when i knew little about cars i thought the painted calipers were cool. My350z will turn you into an expert.

Caliper covers are rice.. all these "new" z owners are ricing these cars out, damn shame

Stock non brembo=calipers leave alone or paint black to try and hide
BBK=paint away
Caliper covers=go get your soy sauce

No calipers cover is the best calipers cover.

BBK or take yours off and clean them.

I would say paint them black or silver for a subtle look. Save up for a BBK down the road

real world scenerio:
"hey man thats a nice looking Z, I like the rims"

"whoa...is that.....(dave chappelle voice) Caliper covers? WTF?"

So spend for nice rims, but not for BBK's or Painting? Should have just kept the OEM rims with that one.

I get a lot of harassment on the forums because of my painted calipers. I have had them red for about 9 years now and I suspect they will be red for much longer. Here is a picture of mine. The Z is sitting in my garage with the Battery Tender connected and it will be hibernating until spring.

very clean garage man
