My 07 Z is making squeaks as I go over bumps
I have a 2007 Z and I havent done anything to the stock suspension or brakes, but i did put in hotchkis sway bars last year. Whenever I am going over bumps (even a newly paved road that has some small ones) i hear a squeaking underneath my car. I dont hear it more when i am doing turns, so I can assume that the bushings to my sway bars have enough grease.
What could be causing this? My mil is 24000. I want to say suspension, but thats just a guess

Where do you think squeak comes from? rear? front? driver side? passenger side? I'd ask one of your friend to stand by your car as you are going over a few speed bumps to actually locate it. You can save ton of time by doing this. After that, you can jack up the car and see what's up

If you hear it from the rear area almost from the wheel well, I had an issue here and my mechanic knew the Z well and replaced some hardware and stuff. See this link from my thread with the items.

ok well i found it and fixed it. i proped my car up and the first thing i looked at was the rear sway bar -- since i had installed that myself. lo and behold, of the 2 nuts per side that is holding it on, one side had 1 solid, 1 loose, and the squeaky side had 1 loose, 1 missing. I took my impact wrench and really tightened all 3 remaining, and brought the car down. The squeakiness is gone.
next step: go to ace's and buy stainless steel/galvanized 14mm nut, maybe a few more as replacements. To make sure this doesnt happen again, ill buy some locktite. also, be proactive and check my front
