Looks good!
What size are your rear tires?
IMO,with that wide a wheel(looks like about 11"),I'd have gone with
a bit wider tire...if its a 35,gone to a 30 with more rubber&give you
the correct height.

Love the VMRs. I like the way my Z sits with Hotchkis after cutting the rear spring perches half an inch.

Very nice, stock shocks? If so, they are wasted or close to.

Everyone those springs still need to settle. And the stock shocks are fine. I've been running the Hotchkis TVS kit on my stock shocks since '05 without any problems.

Car looks good!

Actually your shocks are trash and you just don't know it. Unless your car sits in the garage and never moves.

The stock shocks have a usable life of about 60k miles, that with stock springs. Lowering springs will reduce the life of the shock quickly. Most people don't know their shocks are trash untill they are completely wasted.

Springs (good ones) should never *settle*. Whenever you jack up the car and then put it down..after the cars moves a little it should *settle* down. But that's not the same thing as having the springs *settle*.
Quality springs have a set rating from the factory and that should remain constant. I have nismo S tune suspension (lowers .6') and it never settled more. Having said this it's possible for other components to *settle* in with things changing a bit. read this post I found:

http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showpost...7&postcount=11

Springs shouldn't 'settle', which isn't to say none will. When you installed the new springs and they seemed a bit high so you 'bounced' the car and they seemed to lower a tad, it might just be because of internal friction in the dampers, especially if the dampers are fairly new??

Something to consider as a (remote?) possibility, when you fit new springs they may not seat perfectly in the upper spring seat on the old rubber pad (which will be 'bedded in' to the exact shape of the old spring tops). After a while the pad may 'squash' slightly to accomodate the shape of the new spring?

Or, the pad may be in a rotationally different position on the new springs vs the old springs, which might mean that a thicker 'unsquashed' part of the pad that previously sat in the gap at the very end of the old spring is now supporting some actual part of the new spring, so the car sits slightly higher until the 'unsquashed' bit of pad sqashes down?

agreed nine million times over..

shocks going bad is the ULTIMATE frog in hotwater situation.

Id certainly never argue w an armed service member, but id certainly respect them enough to give them back good advice.. and the good advice here is get some new shocks my man. And enjoy the huge difference youll feel.
