Default Stoptech Big brake Fronts review

Just installed Stoptech fronts only..13" with 4 pot calipers on my 08.
First off...it's gonna be hard to improve on the STOCK set up for 08s, since they really have more than adequate braking. In fact..put on the right pads and you can take em to the track.
I wanted to kick it up a notch, so I went for the Stops 13" upgrade. These are really designed to retain the stock rears..I like that. I matched the rear pads though (Stoptech Street Performance pads). All I can say is NICE! The brake bias is perfect...this allows you to modulate braking without activating the ABS 99% of the time. Very predictable braking...linear response. Zero fade on 20 consecutive 80-20 pull downs. Pedal is ROCK hard.
Most of all..they look fuggin' fantastic

Oh..here's a snipet from long ago..right on the money...

What are your goals and constraints? Are you looking for aesthetics and will only consider a 4-wheel kit? Or are you just looking for the biggest bang for the buck improvement in pedal feel at the lowest possible cost? If it's the latter, then I would suggest the 13" front only kit. That gets you 90 percent of the improvement in brake feel and pedal firmness at a lower cost

Where did you get them brand new for only $1430? That's quite cheap from what I've seen. I am strongly considering front & rear Stoptech BBKs for my '04 base Z. The stock brakes (not Brembo) aren't cutting it at the track.
