Default Hawk Brake pads on stock rotors...

OK,

A year ago my brakes were squeaking/ making noise. I thought my stock pads were done so I replaced with ceramic brake-max/master (what ever the part stores sell). Turns out they were not done but I replaced anyway since I was already in the middle of the job. This was my first brake job BTW. Since then I have never been happy with these pads. They leave a strange mark in the rotors and I still have some noise.

Here's a picture of the rotor marks...

I recently bought a 98 4runner 4x4. Brakes were totally gone soon after getting it so I upgraded the brakes (Tundra brake mod if anyone wants to know). Changed out the Calipers, rotors and pads. Now I have have much more confidence on doing a brake job and want to fix my Z.

I would like to buy Hawk pads and spin the rotors. My question is will the hawks brake well with the spun stock rotors? How many times can these rotors be spun? I plan on bedding in the pads/ rotors after the install.

Thanks in advance for the info,

Mason

Not certain why any pad would leave a strange mark in the rotor. Why is it strange? Debris caught in the pad will mark the rotor. No effect on performance.

How many times can you turn a brake rotor? Until the rotor no longer meets the minimum thickness.
