Default Coilovers vs. Springs

I'm new to my 350z, I want to know about lowering springs. Until I can actually afford coilovers I want to put lowering springs on my 2006 350z Base. If I do put springs on rather than coilovers will I run into any problems such as blowing struts or anything in that line.

No one has ever talked about these two subjects or compared them since 2003. This is new to me as well and I'd like to know more.

Cause before my transition from a BMW to a 350z I went through this problem because lowering springs would cause the struts to blow thus causing more problems and in a BMW that **** is all $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ lol

Of course you can put shorter springs on the car. Blow the struts? Why would shorter springs blow the struts. All you will do with shorter springs is limit strut travel.

Just don't put the ones that have high spring rates and your OEM shocks will last longer.

I guess by the time you blow up the shocks, you would have saved up enough money for a set of coilovers. hehe.

you can get springs. It won't affect your struts unless they have a lot of mileage on them. Get some tokico struts
