Default bent suspension component throwing off alignment

Hello,

I bumped a curb with my front right wheel at about 15 mph, maybe less.

Like 6 months later I go for an alignment, and they find that a slightly bent suspension component on the front right of the car is throwing off the alignment

So now I want to fix it, if anybody can help me narrow down the possible bent parts it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Edit: I just noticed a note on the alignment printout saying "Right front camber is not adjustable and right rear wheel is maxed out of adjustment"

looks like either a spindle or upper control arm. i would bet on a spindle though. stick your finger(s) in between the spindle and wheel, compare to the other side.

So "they" found a bent piece but "they" didn't tell you what it was? What kind of alignment shop did you go to? Everytime I have had an alignment, they check to see if anything is broken or needs replacing.

What are you suggesting?

The two guys at this alignment shop told me something on the front right side is bent slightly. I think they were trying to be honest and didn't want me to start shelling out money for various components if they couldn't be sure which one was the culprit.

take off both front wheels and start measuring distance between parts of the suspension on one side then compare those against the same on the other side.

I would suspect tie rod damage way before control arm or spindle.

you think a tie rod would cause camber to go too far negative?

Things like this are hard to determine, just remove wheels and measure away...

if you hit something it can be a combo of things, tweaked spindle and upper control arm or upper control arm and lower compression arm bent outward more than it should...

i would measure and see if you can figure it out, if not then i would start by buying front upper control arms, as the z needs them anyways... so just get some less expensive kinetix arms and work from there.

Caster isn't not equal on each side...I would replace a compression rod.

Upper A-arm controls camber...

My buddy drifted into a curb in the snow at low speeds. Couldn't tell what was bent but the camber was off on both wheels. He just ended up getting a front and rear camber kit and had the car aligned perfectly with those.

It's good that his camber is correct now, but there are probably still bent components in there somewhere.
