spring bucket delete arms
Are spring bucket delete arms worth putting on ? I have true type coilovers and I still don't know what all to buy for my rear alignment setup. From what I've read, the spring bucket delete arms adjust camber, does this mean I won't need to buy separate camber arms also ? Please help me out, I'm confused.
there's a thread in the suspension called suspension 101...read the first couple of posts and you will completely understand. And spring bucket delete arms adjust toe, camber arms adjust camber
There's a wealth of knowledge in that thread. You aren't completely wrong about the toe arm affecting camber. It's going to affect it, but it isn't the point of proper adjustment. Toe adjustments can slightly affect camber. Camber adjustments affect toe. It's all about paying attention to what changes while making adjustments.
It is ok to run the OEM spring bucket, IF your rear alignment is within factory spec or within your requirements.
If not, then you need:
Adjustable toe arms
Adjustable camber arms
SPL Eccentrick Lockout kit.
One of the main purposes of deleting the spring bucket is to install the adjustable toe arms. This gives you more toe adjustability. You can then install the Eccentric Lockout kit to lock the oem toe-bolt area.
This type of setup is more stable and reliable than the oem toe-bolt setup as it prevents your toe from getting out of spec from hard driving.
Lots and lots of info here.

In addition to that info...
You can also run the SPC toe bolts. They allow for more adjustment than a factory toe bolt. They do require you elongate the mounting holes a bit, but that's an easy job and they provide the template. Some people have mentioned that they slip out of adjustment, but I've run them through several autocross events and they haven't slipped.
If you do run adjustable arms though you should get the eccentric lockout washers as mentioned.

I prefer an adjustable arm over an aftermarket eccentric bolt, personally. I'm currently running battleversion toe arms with the OEM eccentric bolts. This setup works pretty great for me since the aftermarket arms don't move at all and i can fine tune with the eccentric bolt.
A few brands to look at for toe and camber adjustment in the rear that are worth noting are:
SPL- best of the best with solid bushings, pretty pricey though.
BattleVersion- Drift/Track proven also with solid bushings. pretty affordable imo. Alex Pfeiffer is probably one of the coolest guys in the industry.
Stance- Haven't heard many track oriented reviews for these but they look solid. also with solid bushings
