If you get true coilovers gen 4 I will be upset. They said they don't make them anymore, and through testing eom style preformed better. Another bad thing is that they only offer the rear springs in 8k.

They are trying to play one of us.

I know you don't want to spend more money but companies like swift or eibach offer springs in different rates, diameters, and lengths. SPL has a calculator that can help you get a different brand of spring if you so desire.

Check out the midlink spring calculator. SPL has done a lot of R&D for the 350z and may carry the spring rate you want. Relatively speaking springs aren't that much.

Well this is weird. I got 9k 7k spring rates bc i was told those were good for daily driving with TRUE TYPE coilovers on a Z. I'm betting im gonna recieve oem type with the 8k spring, those jerks all lied. We will see tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with fortune auto and they are, at the moment, only making the OEM style in the fourth gen. i tried getting more information out of them but the guy didnt know all that much about why they switched to the oem over true. it sounded like they were working on a true style but i dont know for sure.

Can one of the vendors give them a call and try to get us some information like importimage if they are still an approved distributor

OP I think you did get the Gen 4 system. I didnt see anywhere that our system comes with a brake line mount except for one picture on there web page but no specifics. unless they told you im sure they dont, but if they also told you that the gen 4 was the true style and not the oem then i dont know what to believe.

EDIT: i just found on there page all of the updates for gen 4 and they say all models come with the bracket damn!!!!

9k front and 7k rear is great for DD with the OEM style, for true style rear you would want a 4k at most.

I dont see how this has any thing to do with QC.

They told me today my setup is 8k/8k. They also told me the oem style is more expensive to make, but it preformed better during testing.

Z on te37--- I'm waiting to see what you get. They told me they only make 8k rear ar the momeent since they just came out with the oem style. It's a special made spring.

I blame this on bad information on there site. They said that the z33 will not come with brake line mounts, and that it's there fault for the mis information.

Its on OK setup, i would do something else. Probably a 10k/10k or 9k/9k setup, also depends on the tires you plan to run and how competative you want to be. Obviously with this coilovers, your just out for a little fun and don't care about winning

Will do, im looking for a little comfort considering i live in north east ohio and our roads are complete garbage. i dont plan on slamming my car so im guessing ill end up at around 1/4 of the way up from full soft. What should i torque the plate mount nuts to, front and rear. And what should i torque the lower mount bolts to, also front and rear. i know youre way more educated with the z suspension than i am

Of course bro, this ain't no race car. If I had 3k for coil overs I would be driving a new 370 nismo. Besides, I dont think you can beat these for the money.

Z on t..... Sucks that they did that. What are the rates for the front springs?

My fronts are a 9k. It says on my box 9k front and 7k rear yet you say they said they only have an 8k. Theyre confusing lol. Anyways......now I just need to know how to set my dampers, and what to torque everything to.

You should be able to adjust the dampers to your driving style. Just play around with the settings and figure out what you like best.
