Default Fortune auto coilovers...messed up my order and sent me extra parts.

5 weeks ago i ordered a set of fortune auto 500 generation 4 coilovers with 10/8k springs.

today i received an non-gen 4, OEM setup with extra springs in the box. i bought them for a reliable seller. this thread is to show how fortune messed up and to see how they handle the situation.

i already sent an email to the seller and felt compelled to leave a post on fortune's facebook page.

pics of what i got.

wow this ordered is botched bigtime. to my knowledge they dont offer oem setup in the 500 or 510s only in another line they have. that being said, give them a call tomorrow during business hours instead of waiting for email or communicating through facebook sheez. they have good customer service and get an answer to your concerns quickly.

yes they called me today and left me a message. i was real busy today so ill call them back tomorrow. On facebook, they said gen 4 ARE NOT true coilovers. but i know these are not gen 4 because ALL gen 4 are supposed to have the brackets for the brake lines on them .

either way, i hope this is not true about them being oem setup.

Looks like an OEM setup and you would run the fatter rear springs.

With the neon springs and the collars from the adjuster you can probably build true coilovers

well i called them twice in the past two days, no answer. left them messages telling them to call me back. still no response.

this isn't looking good.

BTW. going buy there guide book, asking to leave 40mm of the shock threaded into the lower portion. you only have 35mm of adjustment in the rear., and a whopping 80mm in the front.

thing is, the rear shocks have 40mm of total adjustment, while the rear spring perches only have 35mm of adjustment. this is with following the guide line of leaving 40mm threaded into the lower portion. so i kind of clueless of knowing how to set the rear shock and rear spring perch the same .although it might be because the spring is in closer so the 35mm might = 40mm of movement where the shock is located. keep in mind, this is no where in the booklet they give you. so i got plenty questions for FORTUNE AUTO.

The green ones are the 10k's. You need to assemble them

refer to post #8. the diameter is to small and length is to short. they seem to be the same size as the springs on the front.

What did they tell you? Are they sending you the true coilovers?
