was starting to look into doing a '06 dual piston(non-rembo) brake upgrade on my '04 touring z. from what i have been researching, it can be done by using the caliper and rotors from an 06 z. the problem im having is im seeing multiple rotor sizes and cant figure out which model the dual piston calipers come on. also, i cant seem to find a straight answer as to if i can just swap out the 06 G35 rotors onto my car without changing anything. maybe information can be shared in this thread for future reference for other ppl wanting to do OEM brake upgrades. or if there is already such a thread that i havent found, if the link could be posted that would be great. thank you

 

Been posted many times, i have done the swap at one time on mine.

 

For the front you need to get the calipers (with brackets) and rotors off an 06-08..they bolt right up. On the REAR, you need the rotors and brackets only (not the calipers, since they didn't change) off 06-08. However, it's very difficult to score just the brackets without the calipers..so everybody just replaces the rear calipers as well. Best bet is to find someone upgrading their 06-08 to BB kits and selling the stock set up.
