Default E-brake adjustment how to?

I need a 'how to' to adjust my E-brake. The brake hardly engages and I would like to re-tighten it. Hopefully it solves the issue.

Any DIY guilds?

This was discussed a few weeks ago.

- You have to remove the rear wheels.

- There's a hole on the hat of the rotor. Remove the plug that's in the hole.

- Spin the rotor (with your ebrake off) and shine a flashlight through. There's a gear that lines up with the hole that you'll need to find.

- Use a flathead screwdriver and use the gears teeth to spin it up or down. It moves in clicks. One way tightens (down) and the other loosens (up). Tighten it till it wont click down anymore. It's now fully tight. Now go in the opposite direction 5 or 6 clicks. Make sure the rotor isn't dragging, or you might need to go another click.

Yea I'm sure you will find a good DIY on here.. If you are feeling adventurous tho.. You take out the center console and the e-brake assembly is right there. There is a bolt to tighten or loosen to make the e-brake more or less sensitive. It's literally that easy lol. But DIYs will obviously help more.

You only need to pull the coin tray for that. That will only due minor adjustments. If your car isn't holding, you'll need to pull the wheels off.

Don't adjust the handle, adjust it as described through the wheels. Takes 10 min tops to do it yourself, longer to lift the car and remove the wheels than to adjust it. Once you find the star wheel turn it until the rotor is difficult to spin by hand. That's it. Put the wheels back on and try the handle, should only come up 3-4 clicks if adjusted right. It will always loosen up over time as the shoes wear.
