Default Any good reasons to upgrade FROM Brembos?

Just like the title says. Long story short, winter's coming and I'm about to break down my car and start doing some upgrades. In regards to the brakes, I have the stock Brembos that came on the G35 6MT coupe. My thought was to do just pads and rotors (maybe Hawk or ebc as I've been pleased with them in the past and possible R1 on rotor duty) and maybe some SS break lines. But, more of a maintenance thing than an upgrade.

I won't be tracking the car (maybe a bit of drift but it'd be minimal) and it's main duty is really a street cruiser. Is there any advantage to upgrading from the Brembos other than the look of some kits? I know I won't stop better and other BBK's are for heat disapation, but with already having Brembos and not really needing more for anything my car does, is there any advantage to spending the 3-4k on a better system.

Just wanted some opinions from you guys. Thanks.

It doesn't sound like it. If you don't track it then a good set of pads and you will be set.

doesn't sound like you "need" a true BBK, just add 2pc rotors to your list instead and enjoy some rotational weight savings

If you won't be tracking your car, then as the aboves have said: Pads + 2 piece rotors (optional for weight-saving) + ss lines = all you need. I have Hawk HPS + SS lines (installed about a year ago) and they make a huge difference from the rubber lines and old crappy pads.

The main advantage would be heat dispersion for tracking, and others might get a BBK for pure looks - Otherwise you're fine!
