Default Question about slotted rotors??

I've searched and read many different things about either cutting, resurfacing slotted rotors. I have even read to the whole drive and stop thing to get the old deposits off the rotors. My question is which is the right thing to do cause i'm doing my brakes this week and kind of confused.

Some say cut
Some say resurface

Any help is appreciated.

well cutting requires a lathe to cut the surface, and resurfaceing requires a grinding machine to grind the surface flat and parellel. i've heard that slotted and cross drilled rotors required grinding, insted of cutting. but i have yet to test it out. and most shops only have a rotor lathe.

I understand what is used but im not sure which option to go with or is the right one. I've heard the same, if need be i could send them to a machine shop or a shop that resurfaces flywheels. But still not sure which is the right way

+1 ^ usually just have to take off layers in smaller increments. Easily done

You can definitely take them somewhere to have the cut down, since the slots are present it just requires you to be a little more careful.
