So Im going to be ordering some springs in the next couple of days and narrowed it down to one of these springs.
Im really looking for a mild drop, just enough to get rid of some of the gap. The H Tech are Very, very mild so Im not 100% sure on these. Has anyone had both at one time or another? I dont want to worry about scraping on every little thing on the road. I had my Maxima dropped 1.7" and it looked good but scraped....a lot. I tend to lean more toward the S Tech.

When I first lowered my car years ago it was with S-Techs--when they settled in, it was more than I wanted so I switched to HT's. To put that into perspective, I also have a Nismo V2 front end, and at first glance that's the lowest part of the car (not counting the underside) and I have about 3.5" of clearance from the bottom of the lip to the road, when I had the ST's I had about 2.75" of clearance. With 99% of speed bumps I have no problem, and it's rare for me to bottom out, whereas with the STs I had to be pretty cognizant of speed bumps or road transitions or curbs. I use the bumper height to explain clearance because its way easier to visualize compared to finger gap or other more subjective measurements.
I found a picture with HTs on.

Thank you thats great info. Based on what your saying Ill go with the H Tech. Id rather have less than more. I love how a slammed car looks, but for daily driving it sucks. I hate having to go out of my way to avoid certain roads or drive ways.

All cars are different, but the limit you speak of is for camber kits. YOu will need an alignment after lowering

Not interested in coil overs. To me if youre not going to slam your car or auto cross it, coil overs are a waste. Im looking for less than a .5".
Experienced it first hand on my last car. With the money I spent on repairs on suspension parts, I would have saved money by going coilovers instead of springs.
I've owned my car since brand new, 2003. It's been lowered on springs since April of '03. That's been 10 years, and everything on my suspension isn't worn out. I've completed regular maintenance on my car over the past decade, but everything on my suspension certainly isn't worn out; what am I missing here? I don't think anecdotal experience is indicative of the sum total, I think it's somewhere in between.

Until a few years later when everything on your suspension is worn out because you put springs instead of coilovers.

All other parts are sold seperate except top hats. The top hats on cheap coilovers suck ***** anyhow.
Of course aftermarket shocks will change the level of abuse on the rest of the suspension.
