I got the rotors on! The front two 22mm bolts need to be tightened to 113-114ft-lbs. The rear 19mm 110 ft-lbs.

I used an impact wrench, so easy for the front, and the rear I was able to get the torque wrench in there and brake them loose.

Congrats on getting the job done!

I have a suggestion: Do NOT use a torque wrench as a breaker bar. You'll damage it's sensitivity. Splurge on a good 18" breaker bar. Also "cheater bars" help. Find a 2 or 3 ft steel pipe that will slide over the breaker bar handle. I've lived in the rust belt most of my life, so I've needed.....help, a lot.

good point. what's a good source for breaker bars and/or cheater bars? I've looked around and haven't seen anything good. Haven't looked at Sears yet, but local car parts places and home depot don't have anything.

Mine is an old Craftsman 1/2" drive. Had it for almost 30 years. A few weeks ago I helped a friend put brakes on his BMW....needed a 5' cheater bar over the breaker bar to remove the friggin lug nuts......big time corrosion. Bars worked well, but I did break my Matco 1/2" to 3/8" socket adapter.

Yeah, it is a amazing how much easier it is with a few more feet of leavarage, I use on of my son's old hockey sticks, fits perfectly over the wrench and it is about 4 feet long.

I busted my crfatsman 1/2-3/8 adapter as well from trying to remove my lugnuts from the 350Z after a visit to the dealer!!!!!

Good news.....I finally ran into a Matco truck parked outside a Body shop today. Not only was there no question about replacing my impact grade adapter with a New & Improved version, he broke open a new set to do it!

LOL.... I have working on my rear rotor for an hour! It was loose and wiggling but wouldn't come off. I searched the tech manual, nothing. I then came here ran a search and found this thread and kicked myself!

Sure enough my parking brake was on! I disengaged the brake and the rotor came right off no problem...LOL.

I don't know what to do without you guys! LOL

Jeff

I got a set called rototech (company out of canada I believe?). They are awesome. I have had them on my car for a couple months now. A guy that lives by me is a distributor (sp?). He sells them mainly to viper owners, he has them on his vipers. He had a set for a vette and a set for a 350Z and gave me a good deal to try them out. Very reasonably priced and they are slotted and drilled, one peice with painted black hats.

I can give a good review with pics tomorrow evening.
