Dd coilovers
Ok guys ive searched hours and hours in the forum to find the best set up for my dd Z but i juz got confused and got a major headache. Basically all i want is comfortable ride with about an inch drop. My car will never see the track or drag. My car is an 08 bone stock except for spacers 25 front and 30 rear, eventually i will replace my tires with bigger and fatter tires my stock wheels would allow me thanks for the input guys. My budget would be no more than $1500

If you can find the Tokico D Spec Kits (DSK512 or DSK509) then that'd be a great option over coils. The only diffrence between the kits would be the 512 is "slightly" more aggressive with a slightly lower drop (according to Kyle @ IPP). The 509 kit drops you 1" with their springs and you can adjust the shocks to your comfort level without having to remove anything from your car. Good luck finding them in stock somewhere right now though. I've been on the lookout for them (along with Koni Yellows). Look them up on Import Parts Pro's site or Tokico's site. Alot of people run those and the Koni yellows and like them better than <$1500 coils.

For the Koni...Yes
For the Tokico.... this: http://www.importpartspro.com/todfrshni35g1.html
Or the link that you have for the Tokico with a good set of springs that don't go lower than 1.2" The reason I say no more than 1.2" is simply for the fact that you DD your Z like me and hopefully your roads aren't like they are in Houston. 1.2" or higher is fully function on city streets without having to drive like you're creeping through a mine field.

LoL...you ARE in Houston!

You WILL need springs with the Koni shocks. Something for a DD would be a spring rates like a Tein S Tech or Eibach Pro Kit. These have drop rates that are not overly aggressive for DD.
With the Tokico... Decide for yourself, but the HP series have some fairly negative reviews with Z and G owners. The Tokico shocks are fine by themselves with the same springs mentioned above for DD but I'm holding out for the complete kit just to have everything for the same box and same warranty.

I have heard that the Hotchkis Springs are a little on the soft side. I know that a friend of mine (AshMan) has the Tokico D Spec with Hotchkis springs. He lives in Galveston County though and the roads are much more forgiving than in Houston proper like I'm in.

Good call! Forgot about the Tanabe GF Springs. They are about 25% stiffer than stock and the drop is usually a max 1.1" lower if I'm not mistaken. Should be good as well for a DD.

I have had the GF210s for a few months now on my dd z in Houston and have not had an issue at all.

Yeah, the car handles great when I drive it "spiritedly". I started with just the GF210 springs, then added the D-specs and hotchkis sways later. The shocks made a noticeable difference. It holds the road nicely.

I bought stance true type coilovers (as opposed to the OEM type) on THMotorsports and they feel exactly like stock, they come with soft springs. Ride height is adjustable so you can drop it 1'' or whatever you want. Also, you can get them for under $1500 shipped.
