I've been running true coils (crap brand) on my car for a year. The only noises I get are from the not cheap parts needing maintenance.
You're not going to see a quality change from one style to another seeing as I have had both setups. Stuff like that comes mostly from the install, then the brand. Because remember even crap coils can be installed correctly and run problem free like what I've experienced.

thanks for the reply guys. I've just been stuck on getting either pbms which I hear really good things about or stance super sport oem style. I was really afraid of the bushings going bad. did you guys replace them or still haven't ran into an issue with them?

There is no difference between OEM style and True style except for spring rate differences on the rear wheel.
You will get noise from pillowball mounts, random bolts, spring perches, doesnt matter how much you pay for your coilovers.
If you buy a good set of coilovers, you wont have to worry about the shocks going out soon or blowing under extreme use.
If you can buy new, if you cant buy greatly underused.

I changed out most of my bushings prior to install of coilovers...but it's up to you. I think they work better then the stockies and poly is much stiffer. The compression rods, A-arms will be a good start since your going to a coilover but no rush ....if your stock bushings are good just know you may have to change out down the road.
For me it was easier to just change out the bushings since I was installing my coilovers myself and would have everything apart.

I'll definitely go ahead and do that just in case. any suggestions on quality bushings? and which ones I should get. I'm pretty low and expect my bushings to go a lot quicker so mine as well.

True style will wear out the shock faster, just do to tensions of the spring , bushings ect etc. Spring rate stuff, ever so slight difference caused by the pivot point , I guess it has to do with the anti squat design that gets bypassed with true coilover. If SPL was not back ordered when I did my build , I would have OEM style

There are a lot of options going the OEM style route, it would be a better choice for a car that doubles as DD/weekend toy
Bushings:
Find a set of Polyurethane bushings, such as Energy Suspension or something similar

I love the ones I have
Everyone has there own opinion and mines ended up being Energy Suspension, because they can be hand pressed/C- clamped or pushed in with a shop vise. I have a cheap press I got from harbor freight, its much easier with E.S. then with other brands. They are very stiff which is a huge benefit on the track/auto cross, but still driveable unlike solid bushings.
You will have to lube them very good and every few months ( 2 times a year check to make sure they are all lube up) which some people complain about but to me .... It's part of my basic maintenance
I had many vendors try and talk me out of buying E.S. but they also make more on other brands... You have to do your research and not listen to some of these vendors .... If your gonna have someone press your bushings in then it comes down to opinion and your Wallet.. If your going do it yourself ... E.S. is a easy choice .... Good luck!
