I'm surprised Joel hasn't seen this yet, he's run several different setups and would be a great person to ask

I will send him a PM

OEM Brembos all the damn way. Very few people make enough HP or race enough to warrant another set up. A good set of pads go a LONG way and the pad, rotor, and line combination for the Z is plentiful. I'd highly avoid Mu and Endless as the initial investment is cheaper than part availability and cost of ownership is astronomically high. Powerslot Rotors, Goodrich lines, and whatever compound pads you need are the best, economical and smart way to invest money into a braking system.

Easy math here... maintenance parts:

Endless Rotor = $1k each
Endless Pads = $700 front set
Endless AN Brake lines = $400

VS:

Powerslot Rotors = $400.00 a Set
EBC = $250.00
Goodrich lines =$150.00

I had a set of Endless/HKS 6/4pots with 2 piece rotors and AN lines on mine... they were loud, dirty and squeaky. Mu is just for looks and parts are difficult to obtain. I'd avoid all the "baller JDM" brands completely for that very reason. If I did it again I'd probably stick with OEM Brembos or probably StopTech Trophy's... not because I needed them(90% of us here only "need" 06+ brakes), only because I can afford them. Alcon and AP are nice EU offerings but again... expensive and hard to get parts for. Good luck.

I agree the initial investment is stupid on Endless, but I gotta disagree on the loud, dirty and squeaky! I've been running the Endless R6/R4 setup since '08 with no issues. No more dirty than a good set of pads on any other setup, and no noise at all. That said, I do agree that you can get something just as good for alot less...

I had race compound on 2 piece rotors. I called Endless USA and they pretty much said it didn't matter what I got... they were going to squeak. I didn't mind it all that much because my diff made more noise at slow speed than my brakes ever did. I'm getting the itch for another Z and if that time comes... OEM Brembo set up for me.

I consider brembo, stoptech, and endless to be the best braking systems available with a slight overall preference towards brembo.
