Default Akebono bracket question

I'm looking to buy the akebono BBK soon so i been reading up a bit on it but got a question about the adapter for those that have installed these.
Does it matter which adapter i get between the CZP brackets and the Z1 brackets? CZP are 4 pieces and looks like the Z1 are 2 pieces.

CZP:

dont think it'll matter, I bought my set off ebay and has performed flawlessly at a much lower price

you will need those little moon shaped pieces, I'd call z1 and ask why they aren't pictured

As stated from the Concept Z page:

"These Brackets are used to Mount the Front 14" Akebono Brake Kit that is available on the 370Z/G37 Sport Models. Other brackets on the market take shorcuts and don't incorporate a spacer so a washer can be used like the OEM setup. This can be very dangerous, as the bolts can get loose and cause further damage. The brackets are a direct bolt on and perfect fit. All hardware and instructions are included."

Those extras in the Concept Z kit are the washers I am guessing

the way they worded it sounds confusing to me. when they say washers, are they referring to the washers for the bolts and by spacers the two half moon shaped things?

I totally agree with Waiz in that the washers, not being lock washes are prone to coming loose and are therefore dangerous and I for one would not be comfortable using flat washers. Although saying that, the kit looks pretty well made.

I've had mine on for almost 2 years.. and the ones on ebay that you posted look similar. I cannot remember the seller name.. and you have to have the moon shaped pieces. I have checked mine and never had a problem with them loosening.

I have the CZP brackets on mine, they work just fine. Have held up over a a few track days as well so I can at least vouch for them!

Reviving a what seems like dead thread. Anyone else find a different seller other than ZCP that seeks these? Just moved over from the g37 forum and still have my akebonos with pads and rotors I'd like to toss on my z

Man, in the very first post, the OP was comparing the CZP bracket to the Z1 bracket. And then a response discussed an eBay bracket.

Did you not read anything?

I should've been more specific I'm trying to buy some like these
http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=221388485062
CZP and Z1 are asking double that for the same bracket I'd just buy some locking washers.

Oh okay. I don't know of any shops that sell cheap brackets. Quite frankly, I wouldn't skimp out to save only $100 when installing such expensive brakes on my car.

I guess just keep your eye on eBay for a set then if that's what you want.

I would not buy an ebay set from a no-name vendor

These are so critical in mounting the brakes that you don't want to cheap out. With either the Z1 or CZP you are assured that 1) you are supporting a forum vendor 2) they stand behind their product if something goes wrong

i bought mine on ebay.. perfect fit, no problems in 3 years. but as said they aren't that much different in price so buy from an established vendor if none are on ebay currently get it from a vendor or used from someone selling them off

Yea I'm gonna keep my eyes open it's more of a flashy look thing more than anything my oem brakes stop perfectly fine just as they did when I had the akebono. Otherwise I found that West Covina Nissan (nismo shop) sell em too http://www.thenismoshop.com/Concept-...it_p_1897.html so that's a third audition just wondering if they support the forum just like the other two do.
