Default brake pads not making full contact

after having my wheel baring/assembly and break pads changed. i started to get rust on the outter part of the rotor. even from breaking i cant get the rust off. any help?

The replacement pads must have a smaller contact area than original. Live with it, or get some other pads, but quality pads should not have this issue.

Your BRAKE pads probably have a beveled upper edge and will take time to wear in. Either that or as mentioned above, also when your BEARING was faulty it cause the pad to hit a little bit more of the rotor than you would have with a good bearing.
